Please Note: Nazareth family retreats are for families.
We do reserve spaces during each week for first-time-attending families.

Nazareth week cost per family: $800.00    (includes lunch Monday - Friday)
Please include a $250 deposit at time of registration. The remaining balance is due by May 1st, 2024
Please Note: The sooner the application arrives, the more likely a spot will be available.
A cancellation fee of $250 applies after June 1st, 2024.

DOMINUS VOBISCUM
SUMMER 2024

Welcome to Dominus Vobiscum Retreat Centre. Through the participation and efforts of volunteers, retreat centre families, and in collaboration with the Foundation of Catholic Community Services and the Newman Centre, the retreat centre has been transformed into a marvellous site for Christian families to gather during the summer. The retreat centre is fully staffed by volunteers.

Nazareth Family Apostolate makes use of the Dominus Vobiscum facilities. Therefore, it is important that we respect the Centre's policies.

RETREAT CENTRE POLICIES

  • Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children AT ALL TIMES** (see note below)
  • ARRIVAL TIME is between 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Sunday
  • DEPARTURE TIME is no later than 11:00 AM Saturday
  • Smoking is absolutely prohibited in any site building
  • Children must NEVER be sent to the waterfront without an adult
  • The Kitchen is off-limits to small children at all times
  • The site must be reasonably quiet by 10:00 PM

** Note: Supervised, age-appropriate activities will be provided daily for the Nazareth Family
Retreat participants.

Supply of food for your stay (major grocery store only an eight minute drive away if necessary)
Indoor rainy day kids' activities (colouring books, crayons, coloured pencils...)
Cold weather clothing (sweaters, sweat shirts, socks, long pants...)
Indoor & outdoor games for children (board games, card games)
Warm weather clothing (shorts, t-shirts, bathing suits...)
Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste...)
Toilet paper (for your family and 1 "courtesy" roll)
Pillows, sleeping bags or blankets & sheets
Rainy day clothing (raincoats, boots...)
Garbage bags for your cabin

Each cabin has a washroom (toilet & sink) and a separate, small room with a shower/bathtub with hot & cold water. Chapel, shower facilities, large fully-equipped kitchen, recreation and eating area are in the main building. Each family is assigned their own dining table, a private fridge and dry goods storage area. Coffee makers and toasters are also available in the main building. All cooking and eating utensils are supplied. There is usually a propane BBQ available as well.

Suggestion only: you can prepare meals in advance because we do have access to a deep freeze.
